We don’t care about beer miles; for us it’s more like beer metres. It’s exactly 9 metres from the Brewhouse to the bar so you can’t get more locally brewed. We use only the freshest ingredients sourced from Norfolk & Kent, drawing on overseas hops only when our our recipes require specialist ingredients from the US or Slovenia.
All our beers are unfiltered and unpasteurised and are suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

South of the River
​
A medium light, full bodied, session ale. Made with all English ingredients. Fruity notes, with a light, crisp, hoppy aftertaste. Available in bottles as well as on draught.
Sydenham Best

Jump Start
​
Our first recipe. A fully hopped, punchy IPA full of floral flavour, with a lasting bitter finish. Available in bottles as well as on draught.

GTI Turbo
​
Strong, pale ale, using five of the latest US hops to give floral and citrus flavours and aromas with a full mouthfeel and lasting finish. Available in bottles as well as on draught.
Double dry-hopped US pale ale
5.5% ABV
Well Oiled Machine

Flavours of chocolate and coffee and a full mouthfeel. Hints of dark fruits give a smooth and satisfying finish. Available in bottles as well as on draught.
London Porter

Helles is a beautiful, golden lager with an unmistakable Bavarian character that we can’t resist. known for its smoothness and balance

FRONT RUNNER [Limited edition]

With a heavenly combination of earthy citrus and bright berries, it’s super light at just 3% ABV but with a body that that’s not scared of a good work out.

MEEPLE [Limited edition]
​
An autumnal take on the west coast style, a red ale with the pine and citrus zest aromas with a toasty malt backbone. This beer is crisp, dry, and has a little spicy kick from the addition of rye. Sitting at 4.8%, a perfect beer for a cosy night at the taproom, maybe with a board game or two!

Spark Plug
​
Light-coloured, easy drinking extra pale ale. Hopped with styrian wolf to give a floral taste with undertones of tropical fruits.
Single-hopped extra pale ale

Rich, brown ale with notes of caramel and a chocolatey finish, balanced with generous amounts of modern US hops.
American brown ale

Ernest Hoppingway [Limited edition]
​
A fresh-hopped, zingy and zesty 4% pale which showcases modern UK hop varieties at their freshest and finest. Brewed each autumn. The hops make their way from the field [or Sydenham allotments] to the copper within 36 hours.
Green hop beer

Milestone [Limited edition]
​
A crisp session pale, sitting at 4.5%, it’s full of punchy aromas of grapefruit and orange marmalade. Brewed to celebrate the milestone that is every fiftieth brew.

Ostara
​
This beer brings a harmonious medley of sticky citrus and stone fruit aromas layered upon a soft and pillowy base of oats, spelt and wheat. Unbelievably light, with mild bitterness and creamy mouthfeel, it’s a mighty beer but with a sensible ABV of 3.4%.

We’ve added oats, spelt and rye to add a nuanced bready, nutty and spicy base for the beer. On top of this we’ve layered a mix of First Gold, Jester and Amarillo hops to bring that orangey gooeyness. A marmalade sandwich in a glass that even Paddington bear is scrambling to get his paws on.
